Overview

Aerial view of Unit 1 facing southeast toward Seabrook beach    Seabrook Station is a nuclear powerplant located in Seabrook, NH. It is located on a 900 acre site surrounded by salt marsh. The picture on the left is taken from the air and is facing the Atlantic ocean. The building and dome in the picture is Unit 1. The site originally was going to have two units. Unit 2 was cancelled in the mid 80's because of funding.

For almost 20 years the rust covered partially completed containment building of Unit 2 graced the sky line for anyone driving up and down along the coast on route 1A.    View from Rte 1A. Unit 2 containment still standing

View from Rte 1A. Unit 2 containment torn down    Seabrook as it looks today. Shortly after Florida Power & Light purchased Seabrook Station they tore down the incomplete Unit 2 containment building and capped it.
