Mershon Patent Shaking Grate Works in Philadelphia converted this car to burn coal as a demonstration of the efficiency of their grate. Hood was extended. Buick coupe body with 100 gal. water tank and coal bin in trunk. An article on this car appears in Popular Science, Dec. 1943. Footage of this car in action in 1932 is here.
