Mershon Patent<br/>Shaking Grate Works in Philadelphia converted this car to burn coal as<br/>a demonstration of the efficiency of their grate. Hood was<br/>extended. Buick coupe body with 100 gal. water tank and coal bin in trunk. An article on this car appears in<br/>Popular Science<br/>, Dec. 1943. Footage of this car in action in 1932 is<br/>here<br/>.
