I know that you can get stock bikes for mva but I just don't know how. Could some one please tell me? thanx

What's the deal with all the secrets in this game?  Like the object thing.  Is it a legal issue or what?  I know that some people don't like to share info, but then I suppose they shouldn't expect anything from someone else either.

Trev old friend, it's a console game - made for consoles, it can't handle tons of objects or any fps over 30. It's a quick money grab for THQ and they could give a hoot what we have to say about it.

I in no way blame Rainbow or anyone else - it's TH-$$$$$$$$-Q, they got what they wanted - a few more bucks and they're laugjing all the way to their financial institutions.

Robb Rinard & friends saw what was going on and had to form a new company 2XL. We have one guy at Rainbow that is willing to help to fix this nightmare on his own time - it's got to be embarassing for one of the best gaming groups to be forced to release a pile of ....... It'll work for now but I think MVA will end up in the trash as a bad memory. We won't be fooled again!

Maybe 2XL will give us what we wanted - a real PC MX game that will kick butt.

Well I understand what your saying Maui, and mostly agree with you, but that's not an answer to the question. 

And by the way as long as a game has improved physics, and we're all motocross game sluts, then they've got us by the balls.

They had us by the balls but... they dropped the ball and have lost more than a few customers with this latest "offering"-

I say offering but I had to bend over backwards just to buy this game -  I am impressed with the editor to a point but it's worthless if you can't enjoy the tracks you make.

If it's not the 30FPS tearing your eyes, the incredible lag some people are getting with just 5 AI- (remember when you could run 10 and it barely affected the game?)  then it's the setup and UI or multiplayer aspects that are killing your interest.  I'd love to be this game's biggest fan but it's just not there for me - not yet anyway and  being realistic I don't expect a whole lot more from Rainbow.

Yes the physics are a major step up from MCM2 but they have their moments where the just don't work right - I get those - hook your front wheel and do a 180-360 without wiping out -everytime I play. It's like *#*#* was that? and although the bike is better the actual fun factor is less - most tracks I've tried  just aren't that fun or addicting, if they are worth riding then the game's problems will overshadow that eventually.


I'm not big on non MX games but lately I've played some newer racing games that are at least a generation or 2-3 beyond MVA and are already a year or 2 old
THQ's own MotoGP3 is great example
Xpand Rally and Flat Out both put MVA to shame.
The Xpand editor is the most sophisticated and elegant track editor I've ever tried.

and they all play smoothly and at 60 FPS or better cranked up and at high res
I'd rather play stuff like that then suffer with MVA.

Right now the only hope is more patches and Laurie coming out with a new editor- which won't fix the game's issues..

The best thing that could ever happen sounds like it is- competition- go 2XL

I agree with everything Bob said.  As a matter of fact I'm one of the people Rainbow lost as a future customer.  MVA is a pathetic excuse for a PC game.  And being a console port or not it just plain falls short....way short of where it should have been for a currnet game release.

TTM is working on a lap recorder like we had for MCM2.  That should breathe new life into this game.  I'm actually one of the few who enjoy the new bikes much more than MCM's.

HAD?  Just to mkae sure you know but MCM2 AND the recorder are still here and more and more peeps are coming back home to race in the zone.  You guys are only too right about MVA being nothing but a lousy game, more like a grab for money and nothing else.  All they did was take advantage of a genre that was really primed for a new game.  We were taken for a ride.  But NEVER again.

I just use the MVA CD as a drink coaster while making a new MCM2 tracks and racing on the zone.

Just my humble opinion, so don't beat me up for it too much.  Later guys

I doubt TTM is working on it, but I agree the recorder I'm using for MVA is supa.
I just use the MCM2 CD as a drink c........ lol.
I really prefer MVA but, indeed, everyone plays what he likes !
Bashing isn't a solution Wayne. I don't agree how you are acting everywhere on the forums, and thats just my humble opinion.

There is a difference between bashing and factual conversation.  Then again the facts just don't seem to mean much to some folks.  Perhaps the drink coaster was a little bashing cause it didn't really do that very well either.  The water kinda rolled off the edge and made a mess on my desk anyway.

And to be perfectly honest, I am beginning to tire of the whole mess anyway.  MVA seems to destroy just about everything it touches, former MCM websites, race teams, forums, the community as a whole.  But you're right, why bother, you all just go ahead and have your fun.  I'll go do something else.
