Laurie I need your help!

Laurie I was chatting with JamieT about making a realistic lighting effect on Mx vs Atv Reflex Custom Tracks Via Digital Earthworks. He told me you may be able to help me out. I tried to make a nice looking lighting effect on my track, but it looked pasted on the dirt and fake using the chrominance map. Is there a way to make realistic lighting in DE, or will there be? Please help me out Laurie! Thank you m8.

I'll find the name of this texture later tonight and give some context.

In the scene entity "AmbientDirectionalLight", there's a texture called "ColorReferenceMap".  I think that's it.

I think what C4 is asking for, is whether this could be rigged up to be compilable by DE.

Sorry for the slow reply, but i am moving house for the 2nd time in 4 months so time is a bit short. Unfortunately i haven't touched DE in a long while and probably won't have much time to do so for couple more months, but everything is possible. If it doesn't give too much away on you're latest project, i would be interested to hear more of what you've tried to do and maybe some screenshots of the results. If i remember rightly Jamie was pushing for the colorreferencemap a long while back, was it something that the compiler did, but didn't make it into DE for some reason. Anyway, yes it is of course possible, this is computers so everything is possible, but it won't arrive in the next few weeks..

Whether it will deliver realistic lighting i guess we'll have to wait and see..
