Motocross Madness 1
Original Stock National Tracks
These tracks were made possible by
the guys at Rainbow Studios and Twisted Dirt. Permission was granted
to convert them for use with Motocross Madness 2 and a general
release to the public.
They are all made with the original displacement maps and textures
that were used on the original creations. The track files were
opened up and the dismaps & textures were extracted. The dismaps
were tweaked for grid size, height & overall MCM2 ridability and
vegetation & object shadows were added to the textures.
Each track was converted by a different creator from among TD
collaborators and TD members using an animated sign provided by Mike
Mccue, the original start/finish gate from MCM1 provided by Fixer
and JMS for the template we used for the track image.
If you were around when MCM1 first came out you will know these
tracks very well and they should bring back some memories. If you
weren't, try them out to see where it all started. We hope you have
as much fun riding these tracks as we did remaking them.
