Powercurve 1.0
OverviewPowercurve is a program that lets you edit the custom powercurves in a Motocross Madness 2 profile. It also lets you edit your plate number.
I had not planned on releasing this program. It is something that I had created for my own use. I had informed Rainbow as soon as I learned that it was possible to edit the powercurves in the profile to values higher then what MCM 2 was supposed to allow. I also informed Microsoft. For some reason this was controversial. It is my understanding that a patch was made and Microsoft has not released it. If the patch was released then this program would not be of any use. Since it has not released the patch and it is possible to edit it using a hex editor or a program like garage.exe, then I feel that it is justified to release my version. There are several benefits to these utilites and I believe that they are more important then the misuse that can be done.
The fact that anyone can do it and has been able to since MCM 2 was released makes it where programs like this are necessary. It puts everyone on equal footing. My own experience shows there is more benefit to slightly modified powerbands then outrageously modified powerbands. It is my believe that it is the game programs responsibility to validate data. It would be very easy to make it where the online host has options on what to allow others to do. I feel that it is mandatory for a good online game program to do this. MCM 2 does this for somethings but not for others.
