Sik Trix 1.04

Download: SikTrix104.zip
Game: Motocross Madness 2
Purpose: Preview, edit, tween, and install rider/bike stunt animation.

Keep SikTrixEd.exe, SikTrix.dat, D3DX8D.DLL, and siktrixhelp.chm together. The CHM is the original UI manual; on modern Windows it may need to be copied to a local drive and unblocked before its pages display.

Safe workflow

  1. Restore stock bike and rider models with BikeSwitcher before diagnosing or creating an animation.
  2. Back up the MCM2 resources and any existing custom trick files.
  3. Load the target trick, choose whether the rider, bike, or both are being edited, and pose key frames.
  4. Use tweening to interpolate between deliberate key poses.
  5. Preview the complete loop and check hands, feet, bars, wheels, and the return to the stock pose.
  6. Save/export, install it, and test in game. The editor preview is not a perfect simulation of in-game timing.

Fast compound tricks can expose different rider/bike playback behavior even when the preview looks correct. Reduce the amount of movement between frames or add more frames, then test again.

Rendering problems

  • Sik Trix uses DirectX and shares rendering code with Dillo Too.
  • Use at least DirectX 8 and a 16- or 32-bit desktop mode.
  • If the bike and rider are invisible, toggle Lighting in Setup, close Sik Trix, and restart it.
  • Restore stock models before changing video drivers. A custom package can be the actual cause.
  • Keep the included D3DX8D.DLL beside the executable.

Do not confuse this tool with Sik Trix Unleashed, which edits MVA data.
