Track Manager 1.01

Download: TrackManagerv101.zip
Game: Motocross Madness 2

The archive contains only TrackManager.exe. Program resources identify it as MCM2 Track Manager and expose the following operations:

  • make selected tracks active;
  • make selected tracks inactive;
  • archive selected tracks;
  • fetch archived tracks;
  • delete selected tracks;
  • copy a track name.

It recognizes .env and .~env files and uses the MCM2 registry key to locate the game. It also reads track preview TGAs.

Reconstructed use

  1. Close MCM2 before changing its track set.
  2. Back up the game's track directory and any existing archive directory.
  3. Start TrackManager.exe. If it reports that MCM2 is not installed, reinstall/register MCM2 in the VM rather than guessing a registry path.
  4. Select tracks and choose Make active, Make inactive, or Archive.
  5. Use Fetch archived tracks to restore an archived selection.
  6. Verify the expected tracks appear in MCM2 before deleting anything.

“Inactive” probably uses the preserved .~env convention, while “archive” moves or compresses tracks into a managed collection. That distinction is inferred from embedded program text; test it with disposable files before trusting it with the only copy of a track.

Name collision

A 2012 forum topic named “Track manager” concerns a different Reflex/Steam utility. It is not evidence for this 1.01 MCM2 executable and is intentionally excluded here.

Sources

  • Archive contents and embedded dialog/resource strings in TrackManager.exe.
  • No matching MCM2 forum thread or packaged help was found; operational ordering above is a cautious reconstruction.
