TwistedDIRT Objects 2001
Collection page: TwistedDIRT MCM2 objects
Game: Motocross Madness 2
This title refers to a catalog of individual object archives, not one ZIP. The preserved collection includes fences, gates, signs, tents, barrels, bales, trees, rocks, vehicles, animated/trackside objects, and other scenery.
Preserved catalog highlights
- TD Snow Fence, Scoring Tower, Blue Banner, Eagles, and Dog House/start box
- Ramps, Pit Tent, VP barrel, Condors, and Over/Under Jump
- Natural High sign, Risotto sign, TD sign, TD gate, and Video Screen
- Bikes, Bob's Van, Honda Big Rig, and CAT dirt mover
- Buddha, oak tree, Stella can, rock kit, hay bales, and starting gates
Each entry can have its own texture, orientation, collision/ride-through behavior, animation, and installation notes. Read the individual archive before copying it.
General installation workflow
- Extract the object's
.slt, texture.tga, and optional<name>_art.tga. - Copy them to
TrackEditor\UserModelsunless the object's own readme names another path. - Start Armadillo and select the Custom object group.
- Place and orient the object. Test collision and visibility in MCM2.
- Before final bundling, include custom textures with MakeCMP or the corresponding later Dillo Too/APM packaging procedure.
The preserved tutorial “How to use SLT objects” and the site's object tutorial provide further period context. “APM help” links on the catalog reflect the older packaging workflow.
Creating or repairing an object
- Export geometry with Unibastard or a compatible SLT exporter.
- Keep materials and textures within MCM2's limits.
- Use SLT Assistant for LOD transitions.
- Use Custom Object Manager to organize editor menus.
- Use SLTtoDXG only when converting the object for MVA.
